NIV or AV

(Satanic counterfeit or THE WORD OF GOD?)  ‘Butter knife’ or TWOEDGED SWORD?

(Which one would you choose for a weapon?)

So you think there isn’t much difference between the NIV & the AV do you?

If you have an NIV, for once in your life, (speaking to my stubborn ‘friends!’) look up the following verses in your NIV & compare them with the AV & then say that there are no differences between these Bibles!  (Try any modern version!)

  1. Psa 10v4&5– prosperous or grievous?
  2. Ecc 8v10– receive praise in the city or forgotten in the city?
  3. Col2v18– has seen or has NOT seen?
  4. Isa 9v1– honour Galilee or grievously afflict Galilee?
  5. Isa 9v3– increased their joy or NOT increased the joy?
  6. Prov 26v22– choice morsels or wounds?
  7. Hos 11v12– Judah is unruly against God or ruleth with God?
  8. Prov 25v23– brings rain or driveth away rain?
  9. Psa 55v18 – oppose me or with me?
  10. See also verses such as Dan 3v25, Mat 5v22 (note ‘without a cause!’  Did Jesus sin?), James 5v16 (confess your ‘faults’ or ‘SINS’ to each other?), Micah 5v2 (Jesus came from ‘ancient times’ like the JW’s teach or from ‘everlasting’?) Col1v14 (How are we redeemed – by what?  What is missing in this verse?)
  11. Who killed Goliath? – 2 Sam 21v19
  12. What about missing verses? – Mat 17v21, 18v11, 23v14, Mark 7v16, 9v44+46, 11v26, 15v28, Luke 17v36, 23v17, John 5v4, Acts 8v37, 15v34, 24v7, 28v29, Rom 16v24, 1 John 5v7
  13. Who is the Morning Star? – Rev 22v16.  Who fell from heaven? Isa 14v12!!!
  14. Have a look at 1 Cor 6v9 in the NIV – If a person ‘offends’ a homosexual (i.e. ‘homosexual offender’ – see NIV passage!), he or she will not enter the kingdom of God!
  15. Is it hard to enter the kingdom of God?  The NIV says it is, see Mark 10v24.  Now compare it with the AV!

Total opposites!  How about that!  So where do we go from here?  One of them is WRONG!  They both claim to be the Holy Bible but one of them is totally opposite, compared to the other, on these verses – one of them is wrong!

The NIV is based upon a Greek text which is a CORRUPT text devised by the Gnostic (GNOS'TIC, n.  nostic. [L. gnosticus; Gr. to know.] - The Gnostics were a sect of philosophers that arose in the first ages of christianity, who pretended they were the only men who had a true knowledge of the christian religion.  They formed for themselves a system of theology, agreeable to the philosophy of Pythagoras and Plato, to which they accommodated their interpretations of scripture.  They held that all natures, intelligible, intellectual and material, are derived by successive emanations from the infinite fountain of deity.  These emanations they called oeons.  These doctrines were derived from the oriental philosophy.) philosophers of Alexandria, Egypt, chief of whom was Origen (184-254 AD)  The NIV is a satanic counterfeit which omits or distorts genuine Scriptures or impugn (To oppose; to attack by words or arguments; to contradict.) them by means of equivocal (Being of doubtful signification; that may be understood in different senses; capable of a double interpretation; ambiguous; as equivocal words, terms or senses. Men may be misled in their opinions by the use of equivocal terms.  2. Doubtful; ambiguous; susceptible of different constructions; not decided.) marginal notes.

The NIV repeatedly matches that of the Roman Catholic Douay Rheims & Jerusalem bibles & the New World Translation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.  However, this is to be expected, given that the basic Greek text of the NIV is largely that of the Alexandrian manuscripts particularly Vaticanus (B) & Sinaiticus (Aleph), which are in turn the basis for Jerome’s Roman Catholic Latin Vulgate!

The total alterations in the wording of the NIV, with respect to the AV 1611 are 5615 words OMITTED & 1090 words ADDED (Bible Believer’s Bulletin May 1993).  Note what the BIBLE says… Deut 4v2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.  Re 22v18+19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.  Pro 30v5+6 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.  Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.  Who dares to add, take away, change or ‘correct’ THE WORD OF GOD?

 DO YOU?

There are 2 lines of bibles, 2 lines of Greek manuscripts, 2 lines of church history, and 2 lines of men!  Of each of these 2 lines, one is honouring to God, one is NOT!  Of each of these 2 lines, one is honoured BY God, one is NOT!

Now you have seen the facts, what are you going to do with your NIV?  Still use it?  For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee…  1 Sam 15v23  Get rid of your NIV ‘PER-version’ & get a copy of…

THE NIV CHALLENGE – by Rex Cobb…

Using the New International Version Bible (NIV); answer the following questions.  DO NOT rely on your memory, as the Bible is the FINAL AUTHORITY!   You MUST take the answer FROM the Bible verse & NOT the ‘footnotes’ as it is the TEXT that is INSPIRED!

  1. Fill in the missing words in Mat 5v44.  “Love your enemies, __________ them that curse you, __________ to them that hate you, and pray for them that __________ and persecute you.”
  2. According to Matt 17v21, what two things are required to cast out this type of demon?
  3. According to Matt 18v11, why did Jesus come to earth?
  4. According to Matt 27v2, what was Pilate’s first name?
  5. In Matt 27v35, when the wicked soldiers parted His garments, they were fulfilling the words of the prophet.  Copy what the prophet said in Matt 27v35 FROM THE NIV!
  6. In Mark 3v15, Jesus gave the apostles power to cast out demons and to __________?
  7. According to Mark 7v16, what does a man need to be able to hear?
  8. According to Luke 7v28, what was John?  (teacher, prophet, carpenter etc.)  What is his title or last name?
  9. In Luke 9v55, what did the disciples not know?
  10. In Luke 9v56, what did the Son of man NOT come to do?  According to this verse, what DID He come to do?
  11. In Luke 22v14, how many apostles were with Jesus?
  12. According to Luke 23v38, in what three languages was the superscription written?
  13. In Luke 24v42, what did they give Jesus to eat with His fish?
  14. John 3v13 is a very important verse, proving the deity of Christ.  According to this verse (as Jesus spoke), where is the Son of Man?
  15. What happened each year as told in John 5v4?
  16. In John 7v50, what time of the day did Nicodemus come to Jesus?
  17. In Acts 8v37, what is the one requirement for Baptism?
  18. What did Saul ask Jesus in Acts 9v6?
  19. Write the name of the man mentioned in Acts 15v34.
  20. Copy Romans 16v24 word for word FROM THE NIV!
  21. Who are the three Persons of the Trinity in 1 John 5v7?
  22. Rev 1v11 is another very important verse that proves the deity of Christ.  In the first part of the verse Jesus said, “I am the A__________ and the __________, the __________ and the __________”
