A Brief Introduction
Born - 26th August
I was brought up in a Christian home and at a young age, my parents took me to Sunday School, which being young I enjoyed. I enjoyed the games, the Bible teaching, and the friendships. I then reached the stage where I took in what was being said, and so at the age of 10 I was saved. Since being saved I had a continual readiness and willingness to find out more about my Saviour. Starting off with a daily reading of the 'Topz magazines' which helped me to read the Bible more and pray at a young age. I also began to follow the example of other Christians around me. Growing older spiritually I then began to attend Bible Study groups throughout the week, which was feeding me more and more with our Lord’s perfect word.
Through school, college, work and family life I have tried to be the best witness I possibly could by living the right life for the Lord and not getting involved with anything worldly; from music to the clothes that I wear. We must remember that we are in the world but we certainly are not of the world. We’re to be a continual light in the darkness, and so the darker it gets the lighter we should shine.
2 Peter 1v19 … whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place…
Around 7 years ago I joined up with Time for Truth! - I helped out with packaging parcels, distributing tracts, writing to missionaries overseas as the TfT! Missionary Secretary', brainstorming new ideas for the team to ‘get their teeth into’, mailshots, team events etc. Through joining up with Time for Truth! I have built up my spiritual walk with the Lord by learning new things from the Bible, also by being challenged on different subjects. As Christians, we must remember that we are to change our lifestyle so that we can live according to God’s word rather than changing God’s word so that it can fit into our lifestyle. It’s as simple as that - if you love the Lord you will obey His word above all else.
I cannot express to you how much I love the Lord and how much more I want to get to know Him. I look around me sometimes and think that I would definitely prefer to have my life with the Lord rather than have fame, money, a ‘good’ lifestyle, hundreds of friends or education. When we are face to face with our Lord all these things will mean nothing and will be burnt, as without the Lord in our life we are NOTHING, for it is ONLY Christ who can save us and it is ONLY Christ who we are to obey above ALL!!
Psalm 18v2 – ‘The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.’
